Evidence syntheses of the best available evidence are the cornerstone of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and evidence-based decision making. However, applying the methods can be challenging, and training might be needed.
Our experience
Our staff have many years of experience conducting evidence syntheses on a variety of topics for a range of commissioners. We have developed and delivered presentations and workshops on all aspects of evidence syntheses, including introductions to EBM, preparing literature searches, performing critical appraisals, Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE), and summarising the evidence using network meta-analysis.
