Literature searching and information support
KSR's team of Information Specialists have many years experience devising and undertaking comprehensive literature searches for systematic reviews, health technology assessments, economic evaluations, scoping studies, mapping exercise, national guidance, clinical guidelines, and other large scale research projects, including reviews of diagnostics and adverse events.
We understand the importance of undertaking timely and thorough searching, delivered in a systematic, transparent and reproducible way, and ensure our methods represent best current evidence-based practice in information retrieval.
We keep up to date with information retrieval methodology and technological developments, ensuring our in-house procedures incorporate appropriate study design filters, reporting standards, bibliographic reference management, peer review of search processes to ensure quality assurance, and full documentation of strategies.
We can offer training and advice on any aspect of the search process, from planning a proposal, scoping the literature, undertaking systematic review searches, quality assuring the search methods, to documenting the processes to meet the reporting standards recommended by NICE, the Cochrane Collaboration and the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination.
